Terms and Conditions

The terms you order on.

What you are agreeing to when you order from this store, in plain words. It is short because the business is simple: you send a file or we design one with you, we print it, and it arrives at your building.

Who you are buying from

Sunday Printworks is a trade name of Creative Blunder LLC, and when you order from this site your contract is with Creative Blunder LLC. Where these terms say “we” or “us”, that is who they mean. “You” is the person placing the order and the church or organization they are ordering for.

What you are ordering

Everything in this store is printed to order, from your file or from a design we make and you approve, at the size, stock and quantity you choose on the product page. Your order is accepted when payment goes through and the confirmation email reaches you. The price on the product page covers the printing. Shipping is charged separately at checkout, at the rate shown for the service you choose, to the address you give us. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies, unless your organization has an exemption certificate on file with us and pays with its own funds. If we ever find that something was listed at a price that is plainly wrong, we will tell you before anything prints, and you can have your money back or go ahead at the right price.

Your file, and what we check

We print the file you upload, as you send it. The file check on the product page reads what a machine can read: page size, bleed and resolution. It does not read your words. Spelling, dates, times, phone numbers, the pastor’s name and which side is the front are yours to get right, because we do not proof files uploaded through the store, and a file that passes the check goes to press as it is. The preview you approve when you upload is your proof. Nobody here reads it before it prints. When you order giving envelopes, you also confirm your file is built on our envelope template for the flap style you chose. A file that is not is yours to correct, including the cost of reprinting it.

If you would like someone to look it over first, or to make the file for you, use the design service. In that case we send you a proof, and nothing prints until you approve it. The proof you approve is what prints. If a mistake in print is one we made in the words or photos you sent us, we reprint it at no charge; if it was in what you sent, a re-run is priced like any other file error.

Your right to print what you send

By uploading a file you are telling us that you own it or have permission to print everything in it: the photographs, the illustrations, the fonts, the logos and the words. Church offices borrow images from the internet more often than anyone means to, and a printer is in no position to check. If someone later claims that something you sent us was theirs, that claim is between you and them, and you agree to cover any cost it brings to us.

Jobs we may decline

We can decline any job, including content we are not willing to put our name to. If we do, we tell you before it goes to press and refund the whole order. We will not print something and argue about it afterwards.

Turnaround and delivery

Most products take around four business days on press, and then shipping on top of that. An order with your own file goes to press the business day after you place it; an order we design goes the business day after you approve the proof. Those are the times production normally runs to, and they are estimates rather than promises. We cannot guarantee that an order arrives by a particular date, and a late carrier is not a print defect. Once an order leaves the press it is in the carrier’s hands, and a box damaged or lost in transit is not a print defect either. We cannot guarantee a reprint or a refund for it, though we will take it up with the printer and the carrier for you. The stands and carrying cases that come with our banners and backdrops are sold as is, without warranty. If a stand or case arrives broken, tell us within three business days of the box arriving, using the link in the email that told you your order shipped, and send photographs; we will take it to the printer, but we cannot promise a replacement. If something is for a particular Sunday, order with room to spare; the FAQ has more on counting the days back.

Color and paper

Color on a screen is made of light and color on paper is made of ink, and the two never match exactly. Files set up in RGB are converted to CMYK for press, which shifts some colors, bright blues and greens most of all. Color can also vary slightly from one print run to the next. We cannot match a particular color by eye, and none of that counts as a defect. Coated stocks will not take ballpoint ink, which is why each product page says whether a card can be written on.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel an order with your own file for a full refund, by replying to your order confirmation email, until the job goes on press, which is usually the business day after you place it. You can cancel an order we are designing, by replying to your order confirmation email or to the proof, for a full refund until we send the first proof, and after that for a refund less the design part of the price, until the approved design goes on press. Once a job is on press it cannot be stopped.

When something arrives wrong

If a piece is defective or does not match the file you sent, we reprint it at no charge, and where a reprint cannot arrive in time to be any use we refund the order instead. You need to tell us within three business days of the box arriving, with photographs, using the link in your shipping email or by replying to any email we sent you about the order. The Reprints and Refunds page sets out what counts, what does not and why the window is what it is, and it is part of these terms.

The most we owe you

If something goes wrong with an order, the most we are responsible for is what you paid for that order, whether it comes back to you as a reprint or as a refund. We are not responsible for losses that follow from a late or faulty order, such as a missed event, a mailing that went out late, or the cost of printing somewhere else in a hurry. We know the whole point of a welcome card is the Sunday it is for, which is why the reprint promise exists. This limit is what lets a small shop keep making it.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. If a dispute ever gets as far as a court, it will be heard in the courts of Boulder County, Colorado. We would much rather it got as far as an email and stopped there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
